Description
The ‘A Warning’ project began in London in 2004 where Iain composed a number of songs on a Holiday Genie organ before recording them with a semi-functioning three track cassette recorder. The songs were then transferred to a 16 track digital recorder and analogue synthesizer lines added in Melbourne in 2006 before a number of songs were turned over to collaborators who laid down vocals and strings in 2007.
During 2007 Iain also pillaged archive.org as well as the collection of Bruce Milne to create the “lost movie” that accompanies the soundtrack. A run of 250 CD/DVDs in screen printed and stitched gatefold packaging were launched in Melbourne and Sydney in 2007 with screenings later taking place in Manchester, Rotterdam and Newcastle.
